I have been teaching letterboxing to Girl Scout and leaders for a few
years now. Last Saturday I taught a class to girls only. But they
were all in middle school. The youngest group that I have taught was
9 years old. They all carved their own stamps from erasers that I
bought at Staples. They have a 3 pack for $1.98. We use Crayola
markers instead of stamp pads. They have negotiated the Speedball
carvers just fine. I have them draw out their idea for the stamp on
paper first. They carve after we have a discussion about trail names.
Then we search for the box/boxes and log in. I have prepared a
packet with lots of info that I will be happy to email you. It has
info about the hobby, trail names, FAQ, etc.
My Co-leader (Artz Mom) has the girls make an adorable, artsy log book
of their own from a lunch bag and printer paper. I can send that idea
along as well.
Just let me know if you want me to send the file!

Dear Mother Earth,
Would you be willing to send me your packet too?
I've been following this discussion with interest. I am teaching a letterboxing class to a group of junior high students later this month. I am starting to write up my lesson plans but it would certainly be helpful to see what you have put together.
Thank you very much,
Colleen
